A collection of articles and interviews by one of the most prominent Yugoslav experts on sociolinguistics, a professor at Belgrade University. The first part of the book is a collection of articles in which the author analysis language policy in the pre-war period and shows how the country's disintegration was prepared among others, in this, seemingly non-political aspect of life. The second part is a collection of articles and interviews in which Bugarski analyses the language of war and war propaganda, the manipulation of language and its abuse for political purposes.
