You could be eligible for a
Tax Credit
by saving your textbook receipts!
Under The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and extended by the Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization, and Job Creation Act of 2010, a tax credit of up to $2,500 each year has been authorized for out-of-pocket higher education expenses for course materials, tuition, and fees for 2009 through 2012.
You must keep a record of your
expenses to be eligible!!

Summer Hours:
The Gorham store is closed for most of the of the Summer. It will be open during New Student Orientations, but If you need Summer course materials, please contact the Portland or Lewiston Bookstores.

Our Mission
The primary mission of the official USM Bookstores is to provide for sale all textbook titles and course materials for the University of Southern Maine and the University of Maine School of Law. We are conveniently located on all three campuses: Portland, Gorham and Lewiston-Auburn. Our friendly and responsive staff is dedicated to providing the highest level of service, striving to exceed customer expectations. The Bookstores offer a wide range of services and quality merchandise to meet the diverse and evolving needs of our campus environment.
