Angela BurkeMath Tutor: Angela Burke

Hello! My name is Angela. I am a senior at USM majoring in Accounting. I like business mechanics and numbers however my passions lie in philosophy and education, go figure ;) I enjoy working with and meeting new people, spending time with my family and friends, outdoor activities, and good food. I have fun, yes... fun, working with other students in the subjects of math, statistics, and accounting. Together, we can learn from each other and expand on our academic understanding of the material.

I am available for one-on-one sessions and also group sessions for students who wish to come in together to discuss the same or similarly related material.

Tutoring will take place in the Learning Workshop, Room 185. Students can sign up for an appointment in the hallway on the bulletin board outside of the Writing Center. Sessions are in 55 minute blocks. Additional arrangements/appointments may be discussed after the initial appointment.

Please make sure to bring with you:

  • Textbook and other materials you use in class (ie, calculator, paper, writing utensil)
  • Course syllabus if available
  • Homework, Quizzes, Exams and Handouts for which you may wish to have clarification

Small group tutoring sessions are encouraged, as some students from the same class may want to work together.

  • Develop and expand your math skills and understanding
  • Learn how to get math tutoring on-line
  • Get help with homework assignments
  • Overcome difficult problem areas
  • Prepare for exams

Please feel free to email with any questions! angela.burke@maine.edu
