Shared Moral Responsibility
We all..decided that..even if she made a mistake..left the burner on & the house burned down, she was [going] to stay there. [Her] daughter said: “I know it's a risk, I know I will feel guilty and awful, but I will feel less guilty than..if I put her in a nursing home.” I didn't push it.This family was really a very loving caring family (T1, 524-561).
Agreement
Helping them recognize..pros& cons.. because I want them to be comfortable with whatever decision is..made; whether it is nursing home..or..staying at home..Whatever it is, I want them to be comfortable with it. I don't want them to spend the rest of their life thinking about that..social worker who made me do this.(8,818-23)
